Five hours on a train is enough time to get settled into the idea of not settling for a few months. Especially the last 20 minutes of the journey I spent sitting at the station, trapped on the train, because I couldn’t lift all my bags from the luggage rack to the door before they locked the doors for the night. I had to wait for a pissed off guard to let me out, and then get my bike from the back. I managed to cancel out my excitement of going abroad by only sleeping 2 hours in the hostel that night. Up at 5am and off to Harwich from London to get the ferry to Hook of Holland.
