I went on my first guided tour yesterday and it went very well. It was called a free tour but you still have to give a tip. It was great though, was really worth it and the guide took me places I would never think of looking. This is the first city I’ve been to that has basically been unaffected in WW2. You have to look really hard to find a building that is an eyesore. It is a beautiful city. Absolutely covered in tourists though. Here’s some photos.
This is the inside of the Church of Our Lady of Tyn, founded in 1385.
They also have this ‘Astronomical Clock’ which tells the position of the Sun and Moon and stuff. And every hour it puts on a show. The amount of people that come to look at it is ridiculous. Every hour there is about 1 or 2 hundred tourists standing watching this thing – literally a bunch of gnomes going along on a conveyor belt and after everybody claps. I took a video to show you how amazing it is.
Love the picture from inside the church. Stunning.
