Arrived in Berlin today. I got to Yohann’s flat and he’s like lets go climbing! So I find myself climbing an abandoned WW2 bunker a couple of hours later. It’s not the kind of staffed ‘we are safe’ climbing wall, it’s more of a turn up with a bit of rope and see what happens place. It’s been a couple of years since I climbed but I think I did alright. I didn’t fall off and die.
Berlin is gigantic. Apparently there is no city centre here either. It’s just lots of mega clusters of shops and stuff. So there’s like 5 centres I guess. There’s a really cool island called ‘Museums Island’, never guess what’s on there. Probably go there tomorrow see the sweet buildings and learn a bit of German history.
Hi, interesting post. I found it when looking for city climbing. Climbing on this site must be great. Unfortunately Berlin is too far away, especially by bike :p
I wrote a post on our site about city climbing, with a link to your post.

Hey, thanks. Climbing here is great – a really social experience with many different levels of climb! The overhang is more difficult than it looks!
